AUCKLAND FOOTBALL FEDERATION – Football Development Officer (Talent)
The position is full-time and will play a vital role during the continued implementation of the award-winning Whole of Football Plan.
Supported from the federation’s Mt Smart premises, but working largely in the field, the successful applicant will implement and deliver federation and national programmes in talent development, coach education and community products, as well as supporting a group of clubs in the delivery of junior and youth football frameworks.
The Football Development Officer (FDO) positions have responsibility across all areas of football development within their own clubs but will also take a lead role in one specific area of operation – in this case talent identification – and support FDO colleagues in achieving results across the federation.
Applicants should have at least three years’ experience in player and coach development and be able to demonstrate skills in working with professional staff, volunteers and other stakeholders and customers. Excellent communication and team skills are important.
A recognised New Zealand Football coaching qualification is required, with an additional coach educator qualification preferred.
